Next month newly elected officials will be sworn in and both the U.S. House and Senate will have Republican majorities. Republican Senator Charles Grassley states the process will change and he believes more legislation will be considered next session. He states with Senator Mitch McConnell as the Senate Majority Leader, there will be fewer motions to avoid debate or the addition of amendments. Also, Grassley says the Senate will hold Friday sessions more frequently.
