The Kalona City Council will discuss building permit fees for a Habitat for Humanity project at tonight’s meeting. At the first meeting in November, executive director of Iowa Valley Habitat for Humanity, Mark Patton, discussed moving a home located in rural Tiffin to a lot at 121 A Avenue. The organization hopes to bring the four bedroom home to Kalona later this month. According to Patton, they’ll renovate the home this winter, and finish outside work in the spring.
