The Mid-Prairie girls’ basketball team won by nearly 30 points in a home game against Tipton last night. It was a game heard on AM1380, FM102.5 and on KCIIradio.com.
The Lady Hawks would take the victory with a score of 49-20. The game was close at the end of the first quarter, 9-4.
By halftime Mid-Prairie took a more commanding lead with a score of 25-11. In the second half the Lady Hawks would take full control outscoring Tipton 24-9.
The Lady Hawks denied Tipton’s scoring efforts, allowing only 20 points – the lowest score they’ve allowed this season . Mid-Prairie was led once again by Taylor Kurtz with 13 points and six rebounds. Ireland Hossetler also helped dominate on the boards with six rebounds. Ali Riggan gave the offense a spark hitting three shots from beyond the arc ending with nine points.
