The Lone Tree girls’ basketball team will be looking to have better success the second part of the basketball season after starting with a 2-7 record.
The Tigers have had some struggles on both sides of the court. Offensively they have only 27.8 points per game shooting under 28 percent from the field. Defensively they are giving up 48 points per game average. Free throws have also been a problem for Lone Tree shooting just above 45 percent from the charity stripe. Sophomore Madison Forbes leads the team with 9.5 points per game.
Lone Tree did finish the first half on a good note winning at Winfield (47-32) in their last game of 2014. They begin 2015 with a game against Iowa Mennonite School, who has only one win on the season (1-7) also coming against Winfield. Lone Tree and IMS will compete on Tuesday, January 6th at Lone Tree.
