The Mid-Prairie girl’s and boy’s basketball teams heading to West Branch tonight.
The Lady Hawks are on a two-game winning streak after beating North Cedar High School 49-36. Mid-Prairie will be looking to win three in a row as they host the 3-0 West Branch Bears.
The Lady Hawks have had success getting the ball inside the past few games with senior Taylor Kurtz getting a combined 27 points and 12 rebounds. Sophomore Ireland Hostetler has been a nice compliment to Kurtz as she has had 14 points, 11 rebounds, and seven blocks the past two games. The 0-2 Mid-Prairie boy’s team is looking to get their first win at West Branch tonight. Mid-Prairie has struggled early in games scoring only two points combined in both first quarters so far this season. West Branch will also be looking for their first win of the season.
The girl’s game starts tonight at West Branch at 6 p.m. with the boy’s game starting at 7:30 p.m.
