The Mid-Prairie boys basketball team traveled to Stanwood to take on North Cedar and were looking to get their first victory of the year after losing to Washington in their home opener. Things didn’t go Mid-Prairie way as they would fall to North Cedar 45-28. The Golden Hawks didin’t score a single point in the first quarter, but did come back in the second quarter making the score 22-16, at halftime. Mid-Prairie would only score 2 points in the thrid quarter and were too far down beginning the fourth to catch up. Chris Weber was the leading score for the Golden Hawks with 12 points. Mid-Prairie will fall 0-2 in the season and will look for their first win of the season when they travel to West Branch on Tuesday.
