The Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk girls basketball team is looking for better play in the second half of the season. The Lady Hawks end the 2014 portion of their schedule with 4-4 overall record.

Head Coach Stephen Bender shares his opinion about his team so far this season, “We didn’t go into the break the way we wanted to and we don’t have the record we like at this point. However, I do see improvement in a lot of areas.”

One area Bender says he saw improvement on is not turning the ball over as much the past few games.

Senior forward Taylor Kurtz leads the Lady Hawks in scoring, averaging 9.6 points per game.

Mid-Prairie will play next on Friday, January 2nd at home against Durant.
