The Mid-Prairie girls basketball team played at home last night against an undefeated conference opponent in Cascade, Western Dubuque. It was a game heard on AM1380, Fm102.5 and on KCIIradio.com. Mid-Prairie could not gain any momentum in the game and would fall 46-37.

The game was close after the first quarter with a score of 11-8 at the end of the first. The Lady Hawks could not get anything going offensively in the first only scoring 14 points. They would find themselves down 25-14 going into half. The third and fourth quarter would remain pretty even and Mid-Prairie couldn’t get enough offense to go with the defense that they had last night.

Ali Butters coming off the bench gave the offense a spark with 11 points to lead Mid-Prairie. Taylor Kurtz had zero points in the first half, but did finish with eight points and seven rebounds.

The Lady Hawks will fall to (4-3 overall) and will play at Camanche on Monday.
