The Mid-Prairie wrestling team competed in the Mount Vernon invitational on Saturday. The Golden Hawks had five wrestlers place in the tournament.
Taking gold was Duncan McCain (112) with two falls, and a decision.
Cameron Tolander and Levi Duwa took sliver in their respective weight classes. Tolander (195) won in a decision, tie breaker, and lost in a tie breaker. Duwa (220) won in two decisions and lost in a fall.
Cameron Peterschmeidt took bronze (195) weight class. Peterschmeidt won in a decision, lost in a fall, and won in an tiebreaker.
Josh Murphy wrestled (120) and got 6th place. He lost in a fall, won in a fall, and lost in a decision.
Mid-Prairie will travel to Bellevue on Thursday for a triangular meet. They will wrestle Bellevue and North Cedar.
