The Mid-Prairie Golden Hawks wrestled in two duals last night and won both at Tipton for their second overall wresting meet of the year.

Mid-Prairie’s first dual was against Tipton where they won by a 26-point margin of 50-24. Six different wrestlters for Mid-Prairie scored six points for the team including, Logan Hempstead, Josh Murphy, Eli Steckly, Blake Murphy, Alec Rauch and Visouth Peterschmidt.

The second meet was against Iowa City Regina and the dual proved to be closer. Mid-Prairie won the dual against Iowa City Regina 42-36.

Mid-Prairie wrestler Josh Murphy won both of his matches, 6-0 with a forfeit against TIpton and a fall against Iowa City Regina. He wrestled at 120 lbs against Tipton and 126 lbs against Iowa City Regina. Murphy is now just four wins away form 100 wins in his career.

Mid-Prairie travels to New London in a invitational on Saturday.
