The Mid-Prairie wrestling team will be heading to Tipton tonight in a doubleheader. Teams that are wrestling in the meet are Mid-Prairie, Tipton and Iowa City Regina. The Golden Hawks are coming off of a quad meet on Tuesday at English Valleys where they won two of their three duals.

Head Coach Steve Garvey says they won a nail-biter last year against Tipton and they bring back a strong lineup, “They only graduated a couple of guys, they bring the meat of their lineup.” He says with the younger guys stepping up and filling voids, he hopes to come away from tonight’s dual with a victory.

Garvey also mentions that Iowa City Regina will also not be an easy match up. “They bring back a lot of talent and bringing up a lot of young guys that are really talented also.” Mid-Prairie beat Regina in two duals last year.

The Golden Hawks start their matches at Tipton tonight at 6 p.m.
