Tomorrow the annual PAWS and More Holiday Open House will be held. Director of the shelter Amber Talbot explains the event is a chance to support the homeless animals and funds raised go to the operating costs for the shelter, including veterinary care. The event will have animal-related gift baskets for purchase, as well as reduced adoption fees for some of the animals.

She adds tomorrow’s open house is a good time for families to visit if they are considering getting a pet as a holiday gift. When considering adopting a pet Talbot reminds people to keep in mind the time and resources it takes to take care of a pet. The open house will be held Sunday (12/14) from noon to 4 p.m.

Also, at this time the shelter’s wish list includes dog leashes and collars, laundry detergent, paper towels, postage stamps, old bath towels or blankets, and more.
