The Mid-Prairie wrestling team competed in the Jeremy Fulk Classic in New London Saturday. The Golden Hawks scored on a decision, eight falls, a forfeit, and a major decision.

Mid-Prairie’s Josh Murphy wrestled at 120 pounds and was looking to inch closer to 100 wins in his high school career. He was 1-1 in the invitational; winning in a fall, but losing in a decision, 6-4. The win makes it 97 wins for Josh Murphy.

Other Golden Hawks who scored for Mid-Prairie include: Duncan McCain (112 pounds) went 3-0 on the day with a fall, decision and a major decision; Visouth Peterschmidt (170 pounds) went 2-1, winning on a forfeit, fall and losing on a decision; Cameron Tolander (195 pounds) went 2-1 with two falls and losing on decision; Levi Duwa (220 pounds) went 2-1 with two falls and losing in a fall.

Mid-Prairie will be back on the wrestling mat at home against Cascade-Monticello Thursday at 6 p.m.
