Two men are charged with hunting infractions after an incident yesterday. At approximately 5:07 p.m. near Ainsworth, two people were reportedly chasing deer with their vehicle in a field. Washington County Sheriff’s personnel and a Department of Natural Resources officer responded to the scene. Twenty-year-old Brendan Serum of Kalona and 20-year-old Nathan Thomann of Riverside were cited for hunting deer from a motor vehicle and the DNR officer seized their weapons. The landowner was advised of the situation and declined to press trespass charges.
