The Washington Demon girls’ and boys’ bowling team competed in their first meet on the season over the weekend. The Demon bowlers’ team began their season on the road Saturday, opening conference play at the Iris Lanes in Mount Pleasant against the Panthers.

The boys team had four bowlers score above 300 points, including sophomore Colin Zear with 393 as the Demons lost to the Panthers 2849-2479. Other bowlers who scored above 300 included: Jon Graf (So), Kylan Gillette (So), and Tucker Renox (Fr).

For the girls’ bowling team, Kailey Martin (Sr) was the only player to score above 300 in a 2301-1827 setback to Mount Pleasant. The final individual points scored are a combined total of two rounds of bowling. The Demon bowlers return to competition this Saturday against the Keokuk Chiefs at Lebowski Rock and Bowl in Washington.
