The Washington County Conservation Board will address an impending vacancy at their meeting today. Liz Kaufman is the board’s vice president and has served on the board since 2005. She has decided to not seek reappointment when her term expires at the end of the year.
At this afternoon’s meeting, the board will begin the process to fill the seat. According to the conservation department’s center coordinator, Kathy Dolan, at least three candidates will be interviewed.
If a decision is made, the Conservation Board will pass along their recommendation to the Washington County Board of Supervisors.
