The Washington Demon girls’ basketball team showed offensive improvement Friday evening in Keokuk. As you heard on FM 106.1 and KCIIRadio.com, Washington got six or more points from four different players including two off the bench, in a 40-30 setback to their Southeast Conference rival Keokuk.

Junior guard Amber Salow scored a team-high eight points, while senior guard Dylann Schuletter added seven points in the setback. Washington senior guard Macey Marek came off the bench to add six points and junior forward Addie Pacha contributed six points and grabbed six rebounds in the setback. As a team, Washington attempted a season low seven three-point field goal attempts after averaging 19.8 attempts from beyond-the-arc in the first five contests of the year.

The loss drops Washington to 2-5 overall and 0-2 in conference play. The Demons lace up their shoes one final time in 2014 on Monday as Washington welcomes in the Marion Indians to Washington High School for a non-conference double header.
