With a unanimous vote, the Washington City Council approved the strategic priorities work plan for 2015 and 2016 at their meeting this week. The priorities include developing a communications strategy with the public, completing the downtown revitalization project in the next four years, developing a maintenance program for the existing downtown streetscape features with the city engineer set to analyze alternatives to repair crosswalks within the next 12 months, a hotel/motel tax referendum, and LED conversion of traffic signals.

City Administrator Brent Hinson explained the work plan is a road map and items will still become before council for further action. For a complete list of the priorities click here.
