For at least an afternoon, the Washington Demon girls’ basketball team (4-8 overall; 0-3 Southeast) put their offensive struggles behind them. As you heard on AM and FM KCII and KCIIRadio.com, the Demons traveled to Oskaloosa Saturday afternoon for a non-conference tilt with the Indians.

Senior guard Amber Salow scored a career-high 20 points, while junior forward Addie Pacha had 15 points and 12 rebounds, both career highs in a 57-45 victory over the Indians.

Fifty-seven points is the most points scored by the Demons this season, and just the fourth time this season Washington has scored over 50 points in a game.

The victory improves Washington’s girls’ basketball team record to 4-8 overall. The Demons return to the court Tuesday night in a non-conference battle with the Muscatine Muskies (4-8 overall). Live play-by-play coverage from Washington High School begins with the Washington Hy-Vee Pregame Show at 7:15 p.m. on FM 106.1 and KCIIRadio.com.
