Keota School District’s energy efficiency projects are nearly complete. Superintendent Mark Schneider says this has been a two year process. It’s expected to wrap-up in the next few weeks. According to Schneider, they replaced the original light fixtures from when the high school was built in the early 70s. Windows at the elementary were also replaced. He explains the $800,000 in improvements are estimated to save the district $30,000 on their energy bills annually.
