A 20-year-old Keswick man died in a car accident in Keokuk County. At 7:45 a.m., January 3rd, 20-year-old Nathan M. Fisher was driving a truck eastbound on 110th Street and a Hyundai Santa Fe operated by 30-year-old Kimberly Hernandez of North English was traveling southbound on Highway 149. Fisher failed to stop at a stop sign at Highway 149 and 110th Street. The Hernandez vehicle struck the front end driver’s side of the truck. Fisher’s vehicle came to rest on the eastbound shoulder of the highway and Hernandez’s vehicle came to rest on its top in the ditch.

Fisher was transported by Keokuk County Ambulance to Keokuk County Hospital, while Hernandez was transported by Keokuk County Ambulance to University of Iowa Hospitals.

Keokuk County Sheriff’s office, Keokuk County Ambulance, North English first responders and South English first responders were on scene. According to a report from the Iowa State Patrol, the investigation continues.
