The Highland (12-3) and Columbus Community (10-4) girls’ basketball teams will be competing in a Southeast Iowa Super Conference battle tonight.

Both teams have lost to common opponents this season with both teams losing to Pekin twice and Mediapolis once. Right now Highland stands third in conference standings at 10-3 and Columbus is fourth with a 9-4 conference record.
Highland’s offense averages 49.5 points per game. They are led on offense by senior Chelsey Lampe with 12.9 points per game. Junior Cheyanne Adamson averages 10.9 points per game and shoots 35 percent from three-point range.
Columbus Community averages 45.6 points per game on offense. They are led by Kelsey Pretz who averages 20.2 points per game and is shooting 55.3 percent from the field.
