Anyone planning to head out on area ponds should be careful. Washington County Conservation Director Steve Anderson strongly encourages everyone to exercise extreme caution. Anderson says due to the relatively warm weather, the quality of ice on area bodies of water is questionable. The minimum ice thickness considered strong enough to support one person is two inches.
