The Iowa Mennonite School boys’ basketball team went to Columbus Community School to take on the Wildcats. As heard on AM 1380, FM 102.5 and on KCIIradio.com IMS would come away with the victory with a score of 63-51.

The game started out fast for IMS as they went thru the first quarter with a 16-3 lead going into the second. Columbus Community made go it closer going into halftime with them trailing just 10 points 29-19. In the third the Wildcats clawed their way back into the game with a 21-11 run in the third quarter. IMS led by just a basket at the end of third 40-38. IMS would pull away in the later part of the fourth thanks in large part to IMS’s junior Eli Gingerich who had 22 points and made some critical free throws down the stretch. Both senior Peyton Miller and senior Danny Lam finished with 16 points.

Columbus’s senior Chase Finke had a tremendous game for the Wildcats scoring 27 points in a losing effort.
