High school students and their parents from across Washington County are invited to attend upcoming informational sessions to learn about taking college courses while in high school. The Kirkwood Washington Regional Center is hosting two informational sessions to provide more information about their concurrent courses and academies. Tera Pickens, director of the center, highlights some of the academies, some of which prepare students for a four-year college while others develop skills for the workforce. Some of the academies include patient care, advanced manufacturing, graphic design, and arts and sciences.

Pickens adds seniors who are considering what to do after graduation are also welcome to attend. The informational sessions will be held February 10th and February 24th.
