Both the Mid-Prairie girls’ and boys’ basketball teams played in a River Valley Conference Showdown against the West Branch Bears. As heard on AM 1380, FM 102.5 and on KCIIradio.com the Lady Hawks were looking for a four game winning streak as the Golden Hawks were looking for their first win. The girls won a thriller at home with a score of 48-46. The boys would not be so lucky as they lost to West Branch 67-32.

In the third quarter the Lady Hawks went on an 8-0 run to keep the lead for all of the third quarter and most of the fourth.
