Both the Mid-Prairie girls’ (8-4) and boys’ (0-12) basketball teams will play in conference showdowns against the West Liberty Comets tonight.
The Mid-Prairie girls are currently on a four-game winning streak and are coming off of a thrilling win against West Branch last Thursday 48-46. They are looking to make it five in a row against West Liberty (7-8). The Lady Hawks beat the Comets earlier this season by just five points, 50-45, at West Liberty.
The Mid-Prairie boys’ are playing against West Liberty tonight looking still for their first win of the season. Both teams have struggled getting wins, as West Liberty’s boys’ basketball team is 2-11 this season. Last month when these teams squared off in West Liberty the Golden Hawks feel short, losing by just five points, 48-43.
