The Golden Hawks went 2-3 at the Center Point Urbana wrestling meet Saturday. The Mid-Prairie wrestling team competed against Center Point-Urbana, Clayton Ridge, Oelwein, Dubuque Wahlert Catholic, and New London. Mid Prairie beat Clayton Ridge 54-27 and took down New London 54-30. Mid-Prairie fell to Center Point-Urbana 51-22. And also lost to Oelwein 60-18 and to Dubuque Wahlert Catholic 55-18.
Mid-Prairie sophomore Duncan McCain (113) lost his first match of the season, going 4-1 this weekend.
Mid-Prairie will next wrestle on Thursday at 6 p.m. in a triangular meet with Northeast Gooselake and Durant at Northeast Gooselake High School.
