Two more donations for the Washington County Sheriff’s Office K-9 fund were acknowledged by the Washington County Board of Supervisors. Auditor Dan Widmer announced $100 was given by Harold Wiley and $500 was donated by Sharon and Larry Blum of Washington. Supervisor Chairman Jack Seward said they are grateful for the donations.

The sheriff’s office is has been raising money for a new K-9 unit, since last January when the department’s dog Joe retired. The fund is now approximately $12,000. Chief Deputy Jared Schneider tells KCII News, the department is trying to raise $42,000 total for two dogs.
