A public hearing focused on the new fire truck the Riverside Fire Department is planning to purchase is set for Monday, January 26th. City Administrator Rusty Rogerson says the goal is to pay for the $725,000 ladder truck in full, so they can receive $32,000 in discounts. He shares they may borrow the money from a bank, or make an internal loan like they did a few years back between the water and sewer funds. The city has contributed $200,000, and has released $100,000 from the next fiscal year already set aside for the truck.
