Revisions have been made to the proposed exit agreement for counties wishing to leave RUSS, Regional Utility Service Systems. Supervisor Jack Seward explained the most recent version to leave the 28-E agreement will cost four and a half years’ of dues, or $61,425. Seward added he is having Washington County Attorney Shawn Showers also review the proposed agreement. Seward added the exit agreement is likely to be on this month’s RUSS meeting agenda. Washington, Mahaska and Wapello counties are trying to leave the organization. The Washington County Board of Supervisors next meet tomorrow at 9:30 a.m.
