The Sigourney-Keota wrestling team (7-1 dual record) has been almost unbeatable as a unit in the first half of this season. Sigourney-Keota has won seven of their first eight duals meets this season and have seven wrestlers with more than 10 individual victories to this point.

The strength of the Sigourney-Keota wrestling team comes in the middle weights, where senior Nathan Fritz and junior Lane Boender are tied for the team lead with 17 wins each. Fritz wrestles for Sigourney-Keota at 145 pounds, while Boender starts at 152 pounds. Senior Gage Griener has collected 10 wins at 160 pounds, while sophomore Noah Boender has earned 14 victories at 170 pounds.

The other Sigourney-Keota wrestlers with double-digit wins to this point come from the heavy weight classes. Freshman Kaleb Reeves has earned 11 wins at the 182 weight class, junior Zeb Webb has collected 12 wins at the 195 weight class, and senior Bryce Brown has won 10 matches at 285 pounds.

The Sigourney-Keota wrestling resumes regular season duals on Thursday, in a triangular meet with Oskaloosa and Newton High Schools at Oskaloosa High School.
