For the first time in a dozen days, the Washington Demon girls’ basketball team (2-6 overall; 0-2 Southeast) returns to the court for regular season competition. The Demons travel to face the Burlington Grayhounds (1-5 overall) in a non-conference clash.

Tonight is the first game for the Washington Demon girls’ basketball team since their 45-23 loss to the Marion Indians. Junior Amber Salow begins 2015 as the Demons’ top scorer, averaging 7.1 points per game through the first eight contests of this season. Senior Sydney Hoffman is the Demons’ top rebounder, grabbing 47 total rebounds this season (34 defensive; 13 offensive).

The Burlington Grayhounds, like the Demons, have struggled in the early part of their season. The Grayhound’s have been victorious just once in their first six games of the season.

Tonight’s girls’ varsity game between Washington and Burlington tips off at 7:45 p.m. at Burlington High School.
