The Washington Demon wrestling team (22-3) was continuously challenged on Saturday at the East Marshall Duals in Le Grand. The format of the tournament included two four team pools competing in duals against each squad. Washington competed in a pool against Des Moines Lincoln, South Tama, and East Marshall.

The Demons won two of their three duals in pool play competition. Washington scored five pins, a decision and two forfeits in a 45-21 victory over East Marshall. The Demons collected seven pins, a technical fall, a decision, and a forfeit in a 56-21 win over Des Moines Lincoln. Washington finished pool play with four pins, three decisions, and a forfeit in a 34-33 loss to South Tama.

After pool play, Washington matched up against Union Community from Laport City for a final dual of the day. Washington earned just three falls and a sudden victory in a 54-21 loss to Union.

Washington hosts their final home meet of the season as they welcome Keokuk, Oskaloosa, and Williamsburg for a quadruple dual meet Thursday evening at Washington High School.
