The purchase of a new ladder truck is being put on hold until the Riverside Fire Department’s current situation is resolved. City Administrator Rusty Rogerson told the council during a public hearing Monday that the city has been advised to wait until the issue is resolved before moving forward.

The city was recently told that tax dollars from the townships served by the Riverside Fire Department should go through the city first for auditing purposes.

Available options will be discussed during a workshop with a consultant scheduled to begin at 6pm February 17th at City Hall.
