Tomorrow a workshop about trap, neuter and release for community cat colonies will be held by the Iowa Humane Alliance and PAWS and More Animal Shelter. Director of the shelter Amber Talbot explains the meeting will discuss how to care for feral cats and how to maintain a healthy population.

By using live traps the shelter will help capture feral cats in the area, have them spayed or neutered and get a rabies shot to keep the population healthy and under control, and then return them to the area. Talbot says by returning the cats to the area it helps keep the population under control and disease free.

The workshop will be held at the Washington Public Library from 1 to 3 p.m. tomorrow. For more information listen to the full interview with Talbot – part one and part two.
