Daffodils will soon be seen in Washington and Wellman, as volunteers sell the yellow flowers as a fundraiser for the Washington and Wellman Rotary Clubs and the American Cancer Society Relay for Life of Washington County. Committee member Kierstan Peck shares she enjoys the campaign because the daffodils are a sign of hope and that spring is returning, despite the winter weather at this time.

There are bunches of daffodils available for $10, a bunch in a vase for $15, or potted mini daffodils for $15. Ed Rustioni, also a committee member, shares last year the groups raised $3,500 and they hope to exceed that amount this year.

Orders can be taken by Rotarians or Relay for Life volunteers. For more information listen to today’s Washington Page with Peck and Rustioni.
