The Washington City Council has set the hearing on the issuance of debt for street work and the fire truck bond issue for March 3rd at 6 p.m. This for the authorization of a loan agreement not to exceed $375,000 general obligation loan notes for the city. At last night’s Washington City Council meeting, City Administrator Brent Hinson explained four of the six townships have agreed regarding financing at this time. He added he doesn’t foresee problems and that the township financing is needed for the fire truck. The March 3rd hearing will be held at the council meeting.
