The Iowa Mennonite School boys’ basketball team played in a Southeast Iowa Super Conference Showdown against the Bulldogs last night at home in Hill Crest Union. As heard on AM 1380, FM 102.5 and on KCIIradio.com IMS got the victory with a score of 51-32.
IMS got off to a good start in this game and were up by seven at halftime with a score of 22-15. In the third quarter IMS went on an 8-0. The Bulldogs didn’t give up, going on an 11-0 run at the end of the third and beginning of the fourth. Mediapolis got within nine points in the fourth, but couldn’t get any closer as IMS made some key shots and free throws.
IMS was led on offense by senior Peyton Miller who had 15 points in the basketball game. Senior Kobi Russom had 10 points and junior Eli Gingerich had nine points. IMS will have one more game before they enter postseason, they have the Southeast Iowa Super Conference Shootout on Friday at Hill Crest Union where they will play the Van Buren Warriors.
