The Washington Public Library is offering patrons a blind date out of the norm this month. In celebration of Valentine’s Day, people can have a blind date with a book. Director of the library, Debbie Stanton, explains a variety of books are wrapped up and participants are invited to pick one up, take it home and read it. She says people are encouraged to then rate their date.

Stanton adds some people have fallen in love with new authors this way, while others only get a few pages into the book before setting it down. To check out a blind date with a book, visit the Washington Public Library.
