The Lone Tree Lions wrestling team has one wrestler going to the district tournament with a chance to go to state. Senior Alex Yedlik at 145 pounds will be going to districts for the third straight season. Last year Yedlik fell short in districts and tomorrow is his final opportunity to get to Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines for the state meet.

Lone Tree wrestling coach Jonh Osterhout had high praise for his wrestler, “He is an extremely hard worker on and off the mat. In the classroom, he is a great student. It shows the character he has translating to his wrestling skills.

Yedlik will be wrestling in the district tournament in Wilton on Saturday. The top two wrestlers in each weight class will go to state. The tournament will start at noon. in Wilton.
