The Mid-Prairie boys’ basketball team (1-17) will be looking for their second win of the season as they take on non-conference opponent the Monticello Panthers (18-2).
The Golden Hawks have had trouble keeping games close. In their past five games they have lost by an average of 30.8 points. During that span the Golden Hawks are scoring only 35 points per game.
Monticello comes into tonight’s match winning 18 out of 20 games so far this season. They have four players that average at least 10 points per game. Leading in that bunch is junior Matt Manternach with 12 points per game, shooting 47.4 percent from the field and 82 percent from the charity stripe.
The game will take place right after the girls’ game tonight at Wellman and you can catch the game live here on KCII starting with the Washington Hy-Vee Pregame Show on AM 1380, FM 102.5 and on KCIIradio.com.
