The Iowa Department of Public Health has released a report of how many students have been vaccinated with vaccines required by law in the state’s public schools during the 2013-2014 school year. In Washington County no school is below 86 percent. Washington High School has the highest rate of vaccinated students with 99.07 percent. Schools in the county under the 90 percent mark include Highland Junior High School, Mid-Prairie High School, Stewart Elementary School and Washington Junior High School (listed alphabetically).

Iowa Mennonite School was not included, as schools with fewer than 100 students were not included in the report.

According to the report, the Maharishi School of the Age of Enlightenment in Jefferson County had the lowest percent vaccinated with 47.19 percent.
