Heading into her senior season, Columbus forward Kelsey Pretz sat in 11th place on the school’s all-time scoring list with 491 total points. Heading into the final four games of the regular season, Pretz sits atop of the Southeast Iowa Super Conference with 348 points, an average of 19.3 points per contest.

According to Columbus girls’ basketball coach Kasey Keltner, Pretz’s now sits second in school history with 851 points before tomorrow’s game with the Mediapolis Bullettes. She trails only Joanne Woepking (Settles) on the schools all-time scoring list. Woepking, a 1994 graduate of Columbus Community Schools, finished her career with 1056 points.

Keltner says Pretz has made her way into record books in several other statistical categories. She recently moved into seventh in school history with 412 rebounds. Pretz is also fourth in school history in career steals (178). Pretz is 16 points away from setting the school record for points in a season.

Pretz set Columbus’s single game record for most made free throws, making 20 of 24 attempts in a 50-38 victory over the WACO Warriors last month.
