The Mid-Prairie wrestling team still had two wrestlers competing in Wells Fargo arena yesterday. Wresters that are still are competing for the Golden Hawks are Sophomore’s Duncan McCain (48-4) at 113 pounds and Levi Duwa (38-8).

Starting the day McCain lost his first match of the tournament to Brennen Dobel (47-1) of Clear Lake on a 6-0 decision. McCain went on the wrestle back side where he beat Washington’s Andrew Wake (26-10) with a 6-2 decision. McCain to finish the second day would beat Travis Pulse of Davenport Assumption (30-12) with a 10-3 decision.

McCain still has a shot at third place entering today he will first wrestle Devin Phaly of Sergeant Bluff-Loton. (50-5)

Levi Duwa started the second day in the wrestle back category where he would beat out Andrew Hill of Carlise (21-14) on a fall. Duwa would lose his second match of the day losing to Nick Jacobs of Charles City (29-10) on a 5-3 decision. Duwa will wrestle today against Bryce Esmoil (41-7) winner will take seventh place in the 195 pound weight class.
