Proceeds from a soup supper tomorrow will go towards services that help victims of domestic violence. The 18th Annual Souper Bowl fundraiser begins at 5:30 at the Clarion Hotel Highlander Convention Center in Iowa City. The event is held by the Domestic Violence Intervention Program which uses the money raised to continue providing support services. Their service area encompasses Washington, Henry, Johnson, Louisa, Iowa and eight other counties. Through shelters, transitional housing and a hotline, the program assisted more than 1,700 women, men and children in 2013.
