Temperatures aren’t expected to rise above freezing until Tuesday and more snow is in the forecast for Sunday morning. With this winter weather remember to take extra care for outdoor animals. Amber Talbot, Director of PAWS and More animal shelter in Washington, reminds people that outdoor pets need a place to escape the temperatures. She suggests keeping kennels warm with long stemmed grasses or straw, and insulating them.

Talbot also recommends heated water dishes so they always have access to water and it doesn’t freeze. If anyone is concerned for an animal contact the shelter or the safety center.
