A Fairfield man is in custody following an investigation that spanned several months. Members of the Fairfield Police Department executed a search warrant at 303 South 6th Street Wednesday, leading to the arrests of George Edward Kelley, Carl Albert Babcock and Andrew James Sarles.

Kelley’s felony charges include conspiracy to deliver more than five grams of methamphetamine, delivery of less than five grams and possession with intent to deliver less than five grams of meth. Babcock and Sarles are charged with keeping a dwelling for keeping, possessing, selling or using a controlled substance, an aggravated misdemeanor. Kelley remains in custody at the Jefferson County Jail.

The investigation is ongoing and additional charges may be filed. The Fairfield Police Department has received assistance from the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office and Jefferson County Attorney’s Office.

A criminal charge is an accusation and the defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
