Washington and Louisa counties can now share medical examiners should an incident call for more assistance on either side of the county line. The Washington County Board of Supervisors approved appointing Susan Garrett, Sam Gillip, Michael McAfee, and Lynn Kropf, all of Louisa County, as alternate medical examiners. Supervisor Chairman Jack Seward explained there is no additional cost to the county, unless they are called in to do an investigation. The four appointed alternate medical examiners are already certified to do so and were appointed for two year terms.
