Lebowski’s Rock ‘N Bowl in Washington had a packed house Tuesday for the Class 1A District 6 girls’ and boys’ state qualifying tournament. Washington’s bowling alley entertained bowlers from Washington, Durant, Fairfield, Louisa-Muscatine, Knoxville, and Pella Christian during the state qualifying event. Only the top bowling team and top individual bowler qualify for the state tournament from each district meet.

In the girls’ competition, the Knoxville Panthers are your district champions with a team score of 2536. Fairfield finished in second with 2381, followed by Louisa-Muscatine in third with 2160. Washington finished in fourth place with 2091, Durant in fifth with 2060, and Pella Christian finished in sixth with 1634.

The girl’s individual champion was Knoxville senior Megan Landspergen with a two game score of 399. Washington senior Kailey Martin finished seventh in the overall competition with a two game score of 330. Demon senior Ivy Hamilton finished seven points behind Martin for 10th place overall.

In the boys’ competition, Louisa-Muscatine is your district champion with a team score of 2724. Fairfield finished in second place with a score of 2533, followed by Knoxville with 2497 points.
Durant placed fourth with 2446 points, followed by Washington with 2338 points, and Pella Christian rounds out the competition with a team score of 2066.

The boys’ individual champion is Louisa Muscatine junior Marcus Darves, who scored 412 points in two games. Washington sophomore Jon Graff was the team’s best finisher, placing 11th with a two game score of 329.
